Modern dentistry, like all modern medical practice, makes great use of Xray technology. The strength of the Xrays used is extremely low and the technology has been recognized as being safe for generations.

Why use dental Xrays?
Here is a list of conditions Xrays can help us detect and/or watch:
- Early decay
- Decay between teeth
- Developing permanent teeth
- Supernumerary (extra) teeth
- Malocclusion
- Bone loss (usually caused by periodontal disease)
- Abcesses
- Cysts
- Tumors and/or cancer
- Fractures
- Broken or retained roots
